How To Build A Worm FarmThe resources you will need to make a worm farm.
Old carpet or material sacks. (Optional).
Phone Books Or Bricks.
One piece of corrugated iron.
Small piece of plastic silage wrap.
Three tyres all similar sizes.
Something suitable for a lid.
35 newspapers.
A pot or a bucket.
Instructions
Soak news paper in water and stuff all 3 tyres with the newspaper one sheet at a time.
Place the corrugated iron on top of the brick or phone books, wrap the corrugated iron in plastic silage wrap to prevent the water from the tyres to touch the iron.
Put one of the tyres onto the iron and place inside the tyre to make a nest for the worms a piece of carpet or material sack.
Place bedding material for the worms (horse manure, rotting pea straw or compost) and tip the worms in cover instantly with a piece of wet newspaper and then place the other two tyres on top.
Feed worms regularly with kitchen scraps by lifting up the news paper make sure the farm is always moist and always replace the newspaper to keep it dark for the worms.
Always keep the worms and bedding covered with damp newspaper and also a damp material sack and also a lid on top of the tyres to prevent any problems.
The best worms to use for a worm farm are tiger worms.

Feeding Tips
Remember to chop the food scraps up into small pieces so the worms will process the food faster.
Leave the container of scraps out for a few days, worms love bacteria.
